Midway Cosmic Entities (MCEs) are sentient or semi-sentient fungal beings that exist as intermediaries in the evolution toward becoming MycoSpirits. They are more advanced than typical fungal colonies but have not yet achieved the transcendence required to interact fully with the Cosmic Mycelial Network (CMN).
