Hyphae cradle more than roots — they cradle memory.
Sporemedes System
System Overview
The Sporemedes System thrums with a dense, rhythmic pulse detectable even before an FFMV flagship crosses the heliopause. The CMN coils unusually close to the star here, wrapping each planetary orbit in shimmering filaments of psionic mycelia that behave like attentive guardians or nosy archivists depending on who is observing.
Mineral-heavy inner worlds, fungal-reactive atmospheres, and an outer gas-giant triad have made the system a hotspot for energy harvesting, deep-resonance research, and (unfortunately) several corporate extraction wars. Sporemedes II remains the system’s crown jewel — a planet whose sub-crust harbors the densest CMN-lattice signature outside the MycoMystic Hollowcaps.
Virell’s moons, especially Calyxhedron, maintain a subtle but persistent psionic hum, often described by explorers as “the feeling of being watched by a patient librarian.” Meanwhile, the twin moons of Halvion emit a counter-pulse that occasionally destabilizes long-range scans, generating a low-grade field of cosmic curiosity.
Points of Interest
- Calyxhedron OSMC Complex — A stasis-tier megadetention moon facility wrapped in Orb-Stasis technology.
- Sporemedes II Lattice Cradle — A natural CMN convergence zone prized for high-density resonance readings.
- Oridon Ring-Siphon Fields — Corporate harvesting arrays positioned dangerously close to shifting spore-storms.
